| SHM expand into Kyiv |
SHM Smith Hodgkinson is expanding its Eastern European operation with the opening of a new office in Kyiv.
The Manchester-based organisation, which has more than 140 years experience, officially opens its new Kyiv base in May and believes the Ukraine offers real growth potential. The expansion is designed to build on the success SHM has already achieved in Bucharest and Belgrade over the past decade.
Managing Director Mark Bailey says: “Kyiv is the logical next step for SHM. We already have a very successful Eastern European base and we are already well established in the region. Crucially we know the Ukraine market well thanks to our long-standing relationships and contacts in the area and we also understand the key market sectors in Kyiv.
“This opening is an exciting development for SHM. We are confident that the Ukraine and the Eastern Europe region more generally offers a real opportunity for significant growth and are forecasting growth of 50 per cent over the next three years. Our experience in Bucharest and Belgrade means we are confident that we can hit those targets as we have a very successful business in these maturing economies.”
The Kyiv office will be run by Dmytro Selivanov, an experienced professional surveyor with a strong track record in the region, who joined SHM in December 2007.
