| Reid joins SHM |
Simon Reid has joined SHM Smith Hodgkinson as managing director of their property section.
Simon joins from Lambert Smith Hampton where he was director of their Professional Department in Leeds and was responsible for a team of eight surveyors.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in providing valuation advice on a diverse range of property types and has recently been appointed as Chairman Assessor for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
His past experience includes the valuation of Doncaster Racecourse, Doncaster Finningley Airport and Frenchgate Shopping Centre for gap funding and the valuation of Hull Sharks, Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull Football Club for Hull City Council, prior to relocation to the KC Stadium.
He has also given several mulit-million pound valuations for various retail, industrial, residential and leisure developments, including a £50M plus industrial investment and office village in Sheffield.
Mark Bailey, managing director at SHM, which is a Gordon Brothers company, said he was delighted to welcome Simon to the team.
He said: “Simon’s expertise makes him perfect to head up our property team as he has a wealth of knowledge and experience that he will be able to draw upon.
